What is a cruise seminar?

We are a group of maritime unions affiliated to the ITF. We bring seafarers together from around the world, from different cruise companies and working in different positions throughout the industry.

If you are working on a cruise ship,
our seminars are totally free.
Working together for four days, we explore what rights you have as a seafarer and what to do if you need help.

We explain what protections are included in your collective bargaining agreement (CBA).

This includes what happens when you get sick, how much maternity leave you are entitled to, work and rest hours, understanding your contract and more.

We also cover subjects like:

We want our participants to return to their ships and share their knowledge with
other seafarers.
Our aim is to educate and inform as many seafarers in the cruise industry as we can.
We want seafarers to know their rights and to feel confident to use them.

We use workshops, role play, case studies and games to learn how we can make the life of seafarers in the cruise industry better and what to do if you need help.
